What we believe

Our faith, in plain language

We hold to historic Christian faith, with a Spirit-filled expression. Here it is without the fine print.

The Bible
The Bible — and only the Bible — is the authoritative Word of God. Its original writings are inspired, without error, and our guide for what we believe and how we live.
God
There is one God, who exists eternally as three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
Jesus is God the Son — fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died in our place, rose bodily on the third day, and will return in power.
Salvation
We are saved by grace, through faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection — a gift from God, not something we earn. It begins with repentance: turning from sin to follow Christ, and receiving forgiveness and new life.
New life in the Spirit
No one can truly know God without being made new by the Holy Spirit. From there He shapes the character of Christ in us over a lifetime as we yield to His Word and Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit lives in every follower of Jesus. We also believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit — the empowering Jesus gave the Church at Pentecost to carry the gospel to the world — and that the gifts of the Spirit are given to build up the church today. We encourage everyone to earnestly desire them.
Baptism & Communion
We baptize believers in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — a picture of the new life within. The Lord’s Supper (bread and grape juice) is a time in God’s presence to remember Jesus’ body and blood, given for us.
Healing & wholeness
God still heals the sick. And His desire is for people to become whole, healthy, and flourishing in every area of life — spiritual, mental and emotional, physical, and financial.
Marriage & family
Marriage is a covenant — a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by God and entered publicly before Him.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, sent into the world to carry out Jesus’ Great Commission together.
What’s ahead
Jesus rose bodily and will return — visibly and personally — to establish His kingdom, at a day no one knows. There is a real heaven for all who trust the gospel, and a real hell for those who reject it.
